You have to make a conscious, mature decision in life to not let your emotions intersect with your actions.
Entrepreneurship has its challenges. When the going gets tough, how do you maintain a positive attitude and still get the job done?
You have to make a conscious, mature decision in life to not let your emotions intersect with your actions. We are inherently emotional creatures, so separating the two can be a challenge. It’s important to earnestly recognize how you’re feeling in a given moment; but when it comes to making sound business decisions, understand that how you feel about a situation should not impact how you react to it.
How do you implement those ideas on a day to day basis?
I try to emulate the behavior of the people that I look up to. If I want to one day oversee an organization with thousands of people that follow me, then I have to display the character traits of someone that’s poised, collected, and that handles himself with courage under pressure. So when I find myself dealing with a potentially frustrating or discouraging predicament, I try to remember that how I react to this situation is setting an example for the people that will follow me and help me become successful.
